Mrs. Barnes had been a resident of this city for half a century. She was the widow of Roman Barnes, who died 12 years ago. The funeral will be held at Meeks Mortuary, burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Grocutt and Mrs. Thomas O'Neill, of Muncie; three sons, John and Claude Barnes of Muncie, and Charles Barnes of Albion, Mich.; one step-son, Alfred Barnes, Laurel; a foster daughter, Mrs. Robert Andes of Muncie; a sister, Mrs. Charles Denny of Muncie; 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
