Born August 15, 1945, in Festus, MO, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Clara (Coffman) Shores. At the age of 15, she relocated to Toledo to join her aunts and siblings, where she attended Scott High School and in 1964 became a graduate of Libbey High School. Linda and Alexander settled in Springfield Township, where they built their house and raised four children. A supportive wife, she helped Alexander's career as educator and administrator for the Toledo Public and Springifield Local School Systems for 25 years. As mother, she provided a home constantly filled with love. A highlight for her and the family was attending and hosting annual summer family gatherings that included plenty of food, fun, music and laughter.
