Lucinda is the daughter of Aaron Botsford and Comfort Sarah Seaton, born May 27, 1814 in New York. She came to Michigan - possibly with her brothers and their families in the 1830's.
Lucinda married Jonathon Shores of Massachusetts in Washtenaw Co., Michigan on Jan 3, 1836. In the 1840 census, this family is in Lyon, Oakland Co. In 1850 they are listed in Milford and in the 1860,70 & 80 census records they are back farming in Lyon Township. Milford and Lyon are adjacent to each other.
After Jonathon's death in 1882, Lucinda followed her children to Gunnison, Colorado, where she died in 1886 and is buried.
