Shirley V. Peeters
1917 - 2013

Shirley V. Peeters of Eugene, formerly of San Francisco, California, peacefully passed away February 1, 2013 at the age of 95. She was born March 25, 1917 in Scotia, California to Fred and Flossie Rosa (Cripe) Sholes.

She married the love of her life, Robert Peeters April 23, 1937.

She was an independent person. She enjoyed traveling, playing the piano, reading, walking, crocheting, gardening, counted cross stitch, crossword puzzles, scrabble, playing cards and family get-together. She was a member of Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.

She moved from San Francisco to Eugene in 2001 to be near her son's family.

Shirley is survived by a son: Fred Peeters and daughter-in-law Jean Peeters of Springfield, OR; daughter: Roberta Carnahan and son-in-law J.B. Carnahan of Fairbanks, AK; 6 grandchildren: Randi, Scott, Robert, John, Hen and Tom; 7 great-grandchildren; Darren, Brianna, Nick, Sean, Daniel, Brandon and Cody; 1 great grandchild Adrianna; sister Jean Taylor of Sun City, AZ; nieces: Carol Koton of Eugene, OR and Joanne Loukonen of Imokalee, FL and nephew: Tom Wadsworth of Shelburne, Vermont. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975.

She was a wonderful loving person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Per her request no service is planned.
