Mrs. Elliott, Brewer, 25, of Fort Worth, former Breckenridge resident died at Harris hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She had been hospitalized there since suffering a stroke on 28 December 1966. She had been in the intensive care unit for the past week.
She had lived most of her life in Breckenridge. She was a 1959 honor graduate of Breckenridge High school, where she was a member of the Buckaroo Band and Stage Band. She won state in Typing and shorthand, was active in the drama department, member of the Tennis Club, Biology Club and the Historical Society.
She attended Girls State in Austin in 1958 and was secretary to Jack Cox when he ran for governor. She attended Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, where she was a member of the State Band.
She was the former Charlene Allison until her marriage to Elliott Brewer on 7 March 1962 in Breckenrdige. They couple moved to Fort Worth in 1963, where she was employed by King and Massey, attorneys. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services were held in Breckenridge First United Methodist Church with Rev Jimmie Thames, pastor and Rev. Jerry Walker of Nocona, former pastor, officiating.
Survivors: husband; son - Norman Murl Elliott; parents of Breckenridge; sister - Judy Allison, grandparents - Mrs. Rose McClure, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Allison.
