Ms. Mary Agnes Shipman Anderson, 91, died early Saturday morning, Jan. 21, 2012 in Dale Medical Center, Ozark, Ala. Ms. Anderson was born Feb. 13, 1920 to the late J.L. Shipman and Era Paul Shipman. She was born and raised in Dale and Barbour counties and also lived in Houston, Texas and Pensacola Fla. before moving to Foley where she lived for 35 years. She was a former employee of IBM Electronics in Houston, Texas. She was a longtime and active member of Foley United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Henry E. Anderson (Andy); and a son, William Thomas Ferrell III. Survivors include her cousins, Karen Milton of Midland City Ala., Pam Hughes (Brian) of Ariton, Ala. and Ricky Tyler (Leisha), also of Ariton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Foley United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Foley United Methodist Church at 1 p.m., Tuesday. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions made, to the Foley United Methodist Church, 915 N. Pine St., Foley, AL 36535. Arrangements by Pine Rest Funeral Home, Foley.
