Julia was the daughter of Henry Alexander and Georgia Shinn and was born in Idaho County, Idaho in 1903. She had eight brothers and sisters: Fleesie, Frankie, Horace, Tammie, Juneth, Joe, Julia, and Betty. The 1910 U S Census records that the family was living at The Forks, Idaho County, Idaho where his father had established a farm. Five of the older children had been born in Nebraska; Joe, Julia and Betty were born in Idaho. Julia was five years of age at the time the census was taken. By 1920 the family was still living in the Forks area; however her mother Georgia was listed as head of the family. Juneth, Joe, Julia and Betty were the only children living at home. On November 13, 1924 Julia married Joseph Elmer Cash (he always went by his middle name Elmer) and the couple had one child: Roy Allen Cash who was born in 1925 in Grangeville, Idaho. Julia passed away in 1956 in Idaho County and her husband Elmer died in February of 1982 in Ellensburg, Washington. His remains were returned to Grangeville where he was laid to rest at the side of Julia in the Prairie View Cemetery located in Grangeville, Idaho County, Idaho.
