Jack Ross Shinn, 91, of Hot Springs, died December 27, 2011. He was born December 14, 1920 in Towanda, Kansas to Ernest and Bessie Shinn. Jack served in the Army-Air Force during World War II and received many medals including the Purple Heart. He was a renowned artist, the first to paint nose art on a B-25 in the Pacific Theater.
Loving survivors include daughter, Susan (David) Trimble, of Orlando, Florida; brother, Harris (Doris) Shinn and niece, Ann Shinn, of San Antonio, TX; nephews, Richard Shinn, of Tennessee and Dale Shinn, of Georgia; grandchildren, William (Anna) Trimble, of Chicago, Illinois and Sherie (Brandon) Trimble, of Denver, Colorado; and his dear companion, Martha Bailey, of Hot Springs.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Orlando, Florida.
