Harold Shinn, Jr. of Southampton Township died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at the home of his son in Allenwood, N.J. He was 72.

Mr. Shinn was born in Mount Holly.

He was the son of the late Harold and Mildred Robbins Shinn, Sr.

He was a construction worker formerly employed by Jersey Construction in Hammonton, N.J.

Mr. Shinn loved fishing and enjoyed building World War II model airplanes.

Mr. Shinn is survived by four children: Harold, III of Wallace, N.C., Renee Sheppard of Reidsville, N.C., Christopher Shinn, Sr. of Allenwood, and Adrian Shinn of Southampton.

He was the father of the late Lana Pennock; and grandfather of the late Bryan Sheppard.

He is survived by three grandchildren: Phillip Pennock, Caryce Shinn and Christopher, Jr. He is also survived by two sisters: Ruth Hunt and her husband, Ed of Mount Holly, Marlene Jennings of Eastampton; and a brother, Denny Shinn and his wife, Sandy of Jobstown. He was the brother of the late Alvin and Jeff Shinn.

There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, Brainerd Street, Mount Holly. Interment will be held privately. Friends may call Saturday from Noon to 1 p.m. at the church.
