Samuel Shindledecker, 76, died at his home, Biglerville R1, Thursday evening at 11:57 from a complication of diseases following a long illness.
He was born at Mt. Hope, a son of the late William A and Margaret Wetzel Shindledecker, and spent all of his life in Pennsylvania with the exception of two years when he resided in Maryland. He was the last surviving member of a family of 10 children.
Surviving are his widow, the former Fannie Bigham; one son, J Harold, Orrtanna R1; four grandsons, and three daughters, Mrs. Clyde E Sloat, Orrtanna R1; Mrs. Robert L Bushman, at home, and
Mrs. Ernest G Cluck, Taneytown R1.
Funeral services Sunday at 2:30 form the Fairfield Reformed church conducted by the
Rev. Thomas M Burns, Jr. Interment in the Fairfield Union cemetery.
