WILMA SHETTERLY entered into heaven on November 7, 2003 in Modesto, CA. Wilma was born to Effie and Rufus Farmer of Green Forest, AR on August 1, 1920. She was the sixth child of seven, including four sisters and 2 brothers. She married Everett Shetterly in 1945. They started their married life together in Hayward, CA, and raised three children there and in Fremont, CA. The family moved to Hughson, CA in 1975. Her Southern mannerisms never left her. She lived her life enjoying the things that most Christian women from Arkansas do. Loving the Lord, being a loyal and loving wife, an adoring mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed her gardens and it showed in her beautiful yards. Her motto in life was, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness," and she kept an immaculate home for her family. She welcomed neighbors, friends, and family with homemade cakes, pies, cookies, and a fresh pot of coffee. Family was her life and law; she will be missed for her l oving, caring, and comforting ways. Never losing faith in the Lord was her greatest strength. Her knowing the way to the Lord and sharing that with others kept her going even after the loss of her sight. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her beautiful daughter, Barbara Keliher. And survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Everett Shetterly of Hughson, son Wayne Shetterley of Manteca, CA, daughter Kristine Ulland-Lott of Branson, MO, three caring sons-in-law, Timothy Keliher of Saratoga, CA, Butch Ulland of San Leandro, CA, and Bob Lott of Branson, MO. Six grandchildren, Shannon Keliher, Patrick Keliher, and Brenden Keliher, and Erik Ulland, Robert Shetterly, Megan Shetterly. Three great grandchildren, Ashly, Raven, and Tyler. Sweetheart of a niece Shirley Foster of Merced, CA, and many special nieces and nephews in Carrall County, AR. She loved, spoke of, and prayed for her whole family. Wilma was a member of the Huntwood Baptist Church in Hayward, CA, where she accepted the Lord as her personal savior and was baptized. For over twenty years she has been a member of Sunrise Christian Church of Turlock, CA. She prayed daily for her church. Funeral Service will be held on Friday at Allen Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
