Evon Curtis, 79, of Richmond Rd. in Lancaster, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville. Born August 30, 1933 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Jess & Bernia Ray Sherrow. She was a retired employee of the Garrard County Board of Education where she had worked as a cook. She was a member of Hyattsville Baptist Church and loved her horses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Logan Curtis , three brothers, Clarence & Clyde Sherrow, & Sam Adams, and three sisters, Ersie Mae Ellis, Hazel Woods & Juanita Bishop.

Her survivors include a son, Kenneth Logan (Doris) Curtis of Lancaster, a daughter, Bonnie (Jerry) Prager of Maysville, a brother, Earl Kenneth Sherrow of Harrodsburg, five grandchildren, Betsy Elleman , Karen Ison, Jason, Daniel & Matthew Prager, six great grandchildren, Brett Elleman , McKenzi & Trina Ison, Adrianna, Dimitri & Ezekiel Prager and one great great grandchild on the way.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Gary Durham with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. funeral home obit
