She was born in Utica, the daughter of Joseph and Lorena Protrous Lacomb, and received her education in the Utica School System. In 1962, in Utica, she was married to Howard J. Sherman. Mrs Sherman had been employed by the Utica Cutlery Co., and along with her husband, had been a foster parent to several children. She is a member of the Foster Parents Association.
Mrs. Sherman is survived by her husband, Howard; a daughter, Lori Sherman, at home; two sons, Leo Sherman, and Raymond (Butch) Sherman, both of Clayville; a sister, Mrs. Sophie O'Shea, of Utica, and a brother, Joseph (Bill) Lacomb, of Utica.
The funeral will be Friday morning, at 10:30, at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours at the Funeral Home are Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9.
