Two Women Drowned.
Again the over loaded boat has taken its toll of human life and two souls were rushed into eternity.

On Monday evening, while returning from church at Two Runs and crossing the creek to their home, in a john boat, with seven occupants, two were drowned. Mrs. Charley Cox, who was formerly Miss Estella Sheppard, was married to Mr. Cox last September. Her body was recovered Tuesday, about 3 miles below where the accident occurred. She was buried in the Two Runs Cemetery Thursday.

The other drowned was Miss Lizzie Cox, daughter of James Cox, whose body has not yet been recovered.

Charley Cox, husband and brother of the unfortunate women and Cleveland Sheppard, a Leasure boy and a woman and child were in the boat. Heroic eforts were made to rescue the women, but of no avail.
