Rebecca Shepherd "Becky" Borchert (1952 - 2010)
Becky Borchert, 58, died Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Carlisle Care Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 19, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Becky was born in Des Moines, graduated from East High School, and attended Simpson College. She worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and later at Budget Marketing. Becky was active in the Medora's Ladies Aid, cooking and assisting with the fundraising activities. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and her pets. Becky was a volunteer for the Animal Rescue League.
Becky is survived by her husband of 22 years, Brad, her stepmother Shirley Shepherd of Des Moines and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Deloris Shepherd, and her sister, Candy Jean Shepherd.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Westover Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Medora's Ladies Aid, 12514 G - 76 Hwy, Indianola, Iowa 50125.
