Evelyn M. Kerns, 80, died Tuesday, May 30, 1989, at the Lucas Nursing Center, Lucas. Mrs. Kerns was born Evelyn M. Shepard on May 14,1909, in Lincoln County and was a lifetime Lincoln County resident. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Lincoln. Her husband, George T., died in 1973.
Survivors include a son, James R. of Prairie Village; four daughters, Donna M. Andreasen of Lincoln, Lue Anderson of Topeka, and Sue Mason and Joan Garvert, both of Plainville;
a half-brother, Fredrick Shepard of La Mesa, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and two greatgreat-
grandchildren.
