Mr. Shelton died Feb. 13 at his home at 204 East 12th Street, Cookeville. He was a native of Overton County, son of the late Jake and Miltia Phillips Shelton and was a retired timberman.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lois Cannon Shelton; two sons, Cordell Shelton, Algood, and Otis Shelton, Mt. Dora, FL; three daughters, Mrs. Claudie Lee, Troy, MI, Mrs. Maude Robinson, Cookeville, and Mrs. Cary Lou Miller, Winter Haven, FL; one stepson, Charles E. Johnson, East Detroit, MI; and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Jean Smith, Warren, MI.
Burial will be in Algood Cemetery.
