"Died, James Sheldon Sr., late of County Donegal, Ireland, at the home of his son, James Sheldon Jr., 421 East Gorden Street, North Topeka, Kansas, July 26. Mr. Sheldon was 80 years of age. His death was caused by sunstroke. His funeral occurred at the home of his son July 27 at 2 o'clock, and his remains were interred in Rochester, a beautiful cemetery northwest of North Topeka. Mr. Sheldon visited relatives here last winter. He is an uncle of Wm. McKemey, of the hardware firm of McKemey & Wilhelm, and is also an uncle of James McKemey and Jay Coppinger."
