Mrs. S. M. Borem, for 38 years a resident of Hammond, died Sunday night at 9:30 o'clock at her home on Fifteenth avenue. She was 87 years old.
Surviving are four sons, John, of Hammond, Burr, of Calumet City, George, of Morrocco and William, of PhrJenix, and two daughters, Marie, of Hammond and Mrs. Maude Borg. of Chicago. She also leaves 27 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was a member of Golden Rule Council of Daughters of Liberty for 35 years.
Her husband, T. J. Borem, died April 29, 1904. The funeral will be held from the Stewart chapel, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock..
