Mrs. Curvin E. Shearer
HANOVER - Mrs. Martha Romaine Shearer, 48, wife of Curvin E. Shearer, 402 Ridge Avenue, died Wednesday at 8 p.m. at her home.
She had retired as an employee of Doubleday and Company, Inc., in February, 1958, because of ill health.
A daughter of Charles Garver, Seven Valleys, and the late Mrs. Alice Krebs Garver, she was a member of Grace EUB Church and Sunday School.
Surviving in addition to her husband and father are: Eight brothers and sisters, William Garver, Jefferson; John Garver, Harrisonburg, Va.; George Garver and Mrs. Abraham Nace, both of York; Jesse Garver, Glen Rock; Mrs. Harvey Shue, Spring Grove; Mrs. Robert Snyder, Spring Grove RD 2, and Mrs. Charles Stauffer, Spring Grove RD.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Bucher Funeral Home, Frederick Street. Her pastor, Rev. William E. Yingling, will officiate. Interment will be in Jefferson Cemetery.
