PIPER, MILDRED PENELOPE SHAWN lived 91 active years. Born October 31, 1917 in Boonsville, Texas. Passed away July 3, 2009. She was a longtime member of Park Cities Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents Arthur & Fannie Shawn, sisters Belva Kilgore, Pauline Barnett and Edith Kelley and loving husband of 51 years James F., Sr. Survived by two sons, James and wife Royce Piper of Richardson and John and wife Donna Piper of Midlothian. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. After raising her sons, Mildred entered real estate sales. First with Bernard Cohen, then Henry Miller and finally Virginia Cook. Achieving the Million Dollar Club six different years. Mildred was spotlighted by the Park City News in 2002 as the "Santa Lady" because of her extensive and varied collection of Santa Clauses. The family wishes to especially thank Geneva Cantu--devoted caregiver and beloved "sister" and caregiver Peggy Coppinger. Pall Bearers are Brian Piper, Jeff Piper, Shawn Piper, Dustin White, Wayne Kilgore and Keith Barnett. Visitation will be Monday July 6th from 5-7PM Restland Memorial Funeral Home at 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX. Services will be Tuesday July 7th 11AM at Park Cities Baptist Church Ellis Chapel, 3933 NW Hwy, Dallas with interment following at Restland Memorial Funeral Home at 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas. Memorials may be made to Park Cities Baptist Prime Time Ministry.
