Helen, 87, Beaverdam, died at 12:35 p.m., at Hilty Memorial Home.

She was the daughter of Thomas and Katherine (Daughtery) Shaw. On Apr 22, 1951, she married Harold E. Andrews, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Frank (Heidi), Findlay; three daughters: Rose (Tom) Harvey, Willard, Elaine S. (John) Sommers and Eileen (Mike) Falk, both Bluffton; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a grandson Ryan Sommers; three brothers: Charles, Thomas and Leonard; and six sisters: Ruth Case, Elsie Greiner, Mary Bertram, Myrtle Hughes, Jean Jones-Williamson, and Leona Aimee Mcbride.

She was a 1943 graduate of Bridgeport High School, Bridgeport, in 1943. Following graduation she worked at Wheeling Steel, Wheeling, WV. She served in the Women's Army Corps from 1945 until 1946 serving in the American Theatre Campaign. Upon her honorable discharge she worked for Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, as a medical technician. She later worked and retired from Triplett Corp., Bluffton, after 25 years. She attended Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton, was a member of American Legion Post #382, Bluffton. She loved to read, crochet, garden vegetables and flowers, work crosswords and preserve food.

Services will be at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton, with Rev. David Plant officiating.
