SHAW
Robert F. Shaw, former Irwin councilman, died this morning at 1:30 in his home, 812 Green St., Irwin. Born Feb. 3, 1903 in Irwin, he was the son of the late T.N. and Bess Fulton Shaw. He retired from Westinghouse Electric in 1968 after 31 years of service. A member of United Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, Irwin, he served as an elder in the church and was a member of the Clerks Association of Westinghouse Electric. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Harper Shaw; one daughter, Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Snyder, Irwin; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, William N. Shaw and Edward N. Shaw, and a sister, Mrs. Betty J. Zimmerman, all of Millvale, N.J. Friends will be received at William N. Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin, 2-5, 7-9 p.m. daily after 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held in United Presbyterian Church of the Covenant Sunday afternoon at 1:30 in charge of his minister, Dr. W. Scott McMunn. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery.
