Funeral services for Jessie Gertrude Gilbert Shaw, 97, was held on November 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Waller-Thornton Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Lowe officiating.
Burial followed in Clapp Cemetery. Mrs. Shaw was born December 1, 1909 in Houston County, TX and passed away Saturday November 24, 2007 in Trinity, TX. Jessie was the last of nine children born to Theodore Hollis and Edna Andrews Gilbert, Jessie worked at The Basket Factory and Confectionary Restaurant. She loved to play Bingo every Thursday and Friday night. We will miss her in the kitchen because she was a great cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Shaw.
Survivors include her daughter Betty Leggett and husband Randal; granddaughters, Lisa Evans and husband Tim; great-grandchildren, Evan Arnold and wife Haley and Courtney Arnold; great-great-granddaughter Brooke Arnold; and a host of friends and other relatives. Waller-Thornton Funeral Home
