Mrs. Ada Fultz, one of our most esteemed residents, died at the home of Mrs. Effie Shaver in Bellevue, Pa., on Saturday night last, December 30, 1916, from uremia, inducted by asthma and heart trouble. She had gone from Mt. Union to Bellevue a few days before Thanksgiving to spend the winter and had been ill a part of the time. The remains were brought to Mt. Union on Monday evening and the funeral was held from the Methodist Church on Tuesday afternoon in charge of her pastor Rev. S. S. Carnell. Interment in Odd Fellows' cemetery. Mrs. Futz was born in Mount Union on March 24, 1845. She was a daughter of Nicolas and Kezziah Shaver. D. E. Shaver who died last summer was a brother of Mrs. Fultz. Mrs. Fultz's death is the last of a large family. Her husband, William Fultz, died in 1906. She had no children living, but a baby and a step-daughter deceased.
