Services for Deborah L. Sharp Jernigan, 50, of Lufkin, were held Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001 in the Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Jernigan was born March 11, 1951 in Dallas and died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 in a Lufkin hospital. She was employed as a cafeteria manager for the Lufkin ISD. She moved from Dallas to Lufkin in 1961 and graduated from Lufkin High School in 1969. She was a 1973 graduate of Sam Houston State University. She was a member of the Homer United Methodist Church.
Survivors: husband, Robert Jernigan of Lufkin; daughter, Lori Wareing Peterson of Lufkin; parents, John and Eloise Sharp of Lufkin; grandson, Wrangler Peterson of Lufkin; sister, Donna Felty of Waco; brothers, David Sharp of Bellaire and Don Sharp of Waco; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
