Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St., with Dr. Charles Jones and the Rev. Wayne Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Sharp married Gordon W. Sharp on Dec. 15, 1939, in Hollis, Okla. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and worked in the church nursery for 40 years. Thelma was a den mother for the Girl Scouts, Brownies and Cub Scouts.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Sharp of Beaumont and Priscilla Truelove of Arlington; a son, Glenn Sharp of Amarillo; three brothers, the Rev. Bobby Taylor of Lubbock, Kenneth Taylor of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and Troy Taylor of Boerne; a sister, June Gleaton of Katy; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Boy Scouts of America, 401 Tascosa Road, Amarillo, TX 79124.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
