Ann Lavelle Brooks Blasingame Sharp was born in Milledgeville, Tennessee on March 29, 1917, the daughter of the late Edgar Eli Brooks and Nealie Jane Johnson Brooks.

On June 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to James Ovie Blasingame, who preceded her in death on April 7, 1961. She later married Lester Sharp on March 6, 1973. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1984.

Mrs. Sharp worked as a seamstress with Dillon Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She had lived in Savannah for 53 years.

She departed this life on March 27, 2007 at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 27 days.

Mrs. Sharp is survived by three sons, Jerry Brooks of Bethel Springs, Tenn., Joe Blasingame of Moscow, Tenn., and Jim Blasingame of Germantown, Tenn.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edgar Eli Brooks Jr. of Sardis, Parker Brooks of Byhalia, Miss., and Oscar Brooks of Peoria, Illinois.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Myrthul Thompson, Katie Reed and Aileen Hutchinson; and one brother, Sammy Brooks.
