HYDE - Esther Shangraw, 80, of Hyde, died Saturday, July 29, 2006, at Marion Manor II, Curwensville.
Born Feb. 3, 1926, at Clearfield, she was a daughter of Jeremiah and Mable (Lawhead) Copenhaver.
Mrs. Shangraw was Protestant by faith.
She had worked as a cashier at Acme Market in Williamsport for many years.
Mrs. Shangraw is survived by a sister, Annie M. Rose of Cleafield; a brother, Samuel Copenhaver and his wife, Arnoldine of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Shangraw; a daughter, Karen Shangraw; three brothers, James Copenhaver, Francis Copenhaver and Jerry Copenhaver; and a sister, Verna White.
At the request of Mrs. Shangraw, there will be no public visitation.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Crown Crest Memorial Park with the Rev. John White officiating.
Interment will follow at Crown Crest.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second St., Suite 102, Clearfield, PA 16830; or to the Clearfield Foundation for Health-Hospice, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield, PA 16830.
