Donna, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday morning, at her home. Donna was born the daughter of Jess and Winifred (Pasco) Shaner.
On November 17, 1955, she and Robert Armstrong were married. Donna was a beautiful cake maker and quilt maker. She was a homemaker that babysat for many children in Mt. Pleasant and she loved to shop.
Donna is survived by her husband, Robert of Mt. Pleasant; her five children and their spouses, Margaret and Henry White of Rosebush, Cindy and Brian Johansen of Paris, MI, Robert and Mary Armstrong of Rosebush, Sandra and David Hovey of Roundrock, Texas, and Merle and Marla Armstrong of Belmont, MI; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Alvie Shaner of Clare and Robert (Carolyn) Shaner of Rosebush; a sister in law, Coranna Kripa of Mt. Pleasant; and two special friends, Shirley Davis of Mt. Pleasant and Carol Zileski of Mt. Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers and sister, Stanley, Kenneth, Louie, and twins, Margaret and Merle.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 from the Helms Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Lisa Boettcher officiating.
Memorial contributions were suggested to Hospice of Central Michigan or Community Cancer Services.
