Husband of Mary Seymour (1854-1932), Father of Dorothy Seymour (1878-1900), and Ira Seymour(1882-1966). Son of Gideon Seymour (1821-1906), and Effie Ann Seymour (1822-1867). Jonas was a wealthy prominent figure in Fulton County, Ohio. In 1918, the family moved to California and purchased the township of Balico. The family could not irrigate and lost everything.
