Harry C. Seyller, 88, of Hampshire died Thursday, March 12, in St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.

He was born Feb. 28, 1899, in Hampshire, the son of George and Louisa Engel Seyller. He farmed in the Hampshire and Plato Center area until his retirement in 1959 when he moved to Hampshire.

He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Hampshire and the Catholic Order of Forresters.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred Taylor Seyller, to whom he was married May 24, 1934, in Sandwich; two daughters, Pat (Ralph) Lehman of Hampshire and Ruth (Joe) Milnamow of Three Rivers, Mich.; two sisters, Alma Dilling of Rockford and Bertha Meagher of Palatine; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Joseph, George and Clarence and four others in childhood.

The Mass of Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Hampshire, the Rev. Edmund P. Petit officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the Fredrick Funeral Home, Hampshire, where a Rosary will be said at 3:30 with a Christian wake at 8.

Masses or memorials may be made in his name.
