Nathan Hummel enlisted August 21st, 1862, and was killed in action April 25th, 1864, at Mark's Mills, Arkansas.
She was married to Thomas Gragg, October 30th, 1867. To this union were born five children: Benjamin Gragg, of Coalfield; Mrs. Alzina Kellogg, of Albia; Joseph Gragg of Albia; Mrs. Clint Harnden of Hiteman and George, who died in infancy. Besides the immediate family, she leaves a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral services were conducted at the home last Wednesday, Rev. Joseph Lee officiating. Burial: 13 Nov 1918, Oak View Cemetery, Albia, Iowa
