A former Wellington woman, Mrs. Lenore Jackson, 91, died Sunday, Sept. 16 in Highland Hospital, Lubbock, where she had been a patient 9 days. Mrs. Jackson was the widow of a veteran postal employee, Ernest Jackson. She was the former Lenore Sessions, daughter of Levi and Catherine Coffman Sessions, and was born March 12, 1893, in Arkansas. She and Mr. Jackson were married Nov. 17, 1912 at Stamford, where they lived until thev came to Wellington in 1919. Mr. Jackson joined the postal service in 1920 and was route carrier and assistant postmaster here until 1937, when he transferred to Talmage, Neb. In 1940, the couple moved to Goodland, Kansas and in 1944 to Hall, Iowa. They returned to Wellington in 1949. Mr. Jackson died Sept. 28, 1958 and three years ago she moved to Lubbock. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are two daughters: Mrs. M.D. (Minta) Lacy of Lubbock; Mrs. Gabe (Allene) Wright of Wellington; three sons: C.E. Jackson of Hallsville, Wayne Jackson of Baton Rouge, La., and John Jackson of Dell Rapids, S.D.; one sister, Katherine Brown of Bloomfield, NM; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Leo (Bernice) Teague.
