Daughter of George Alexander and Ida Amelia B., wife of William Earl Serrell, the son of Arthur Harold Serrell and Elizabeth Corwin Bush, whom she married on November 28, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY.

Engagement - Mr. and Mrs. George Alexander Jr., of 2996 Bedford Avenue, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Elizabeth Marie Alexander, to William Earl Serrell, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Serrell of 1439 E. 14th Street. Announcement was made at a bridge party last night. Among those guests were the Misses Betty Lazarus, Dorothy Lazarus, Ruth Lamont, also Donald Swahn, Donald Serrell, Albert Merkent, Mr. and Mrs. J. Stanley Parkin, Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Garges and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon E. Fee.

Marriage - Serrell - Alexander - Miss Elizabeth Marie Alexander, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Alexander Jr., of 2996 Bedford Ave., was married last evening to William Earl Serrell, son of Mrs. Arthur H. Serrell of 1539 E. 14th Street and the late Mr. Serrell. The ceremony was performed in St. Paul's P.E. Church by the Rev. Harold S. Olafson and was followed by a reception at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. Gordon E. Fee was matron of honor and little Betty Ann Fee was flower girl. The bride wore a white satin gown, a tulle veil and carried white roses and valley lilies. Mrs. Fee had a silver blue satin gown, a blue tulle hat and carried pink roses and the little flower girl wore a pink point d'esprit frock, blue trimmed. White chrysanthemums were used to decorate the church. A. Harold Serrell was best man and the ushers included Donald Serrell, Gordon E. Fee, J. Stanley Parkin, and Robert V. Jones. After a trip to Washington D.C., Mr. and Mrs. Serrell will live in Woodmere.

In 1940, Elizabeth A. Serrell, aged 30, was shown living at 190 Walnut Street, in Lynnbrook, NY with husband William E. Serrell, aged 31. Her husband was shown to be a bank clerk.

Elizabeth's husband, William, born January 25, 1908 in Brooklyn, Kings, NY, died on February 8, 2005 in Delray Beach, Florida.
