Eugenio F. Sena, 78, a resident of Las Vegas passed away on Wednesday at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents Graciano and Cipriana Sena; a daughter, Annabelle Sena; a son, Michael Sena,; a grandson Richard Sena; sisters: Jesus Sena, Katie Chacon, Sara Duran, Corina Gonzales and Mary Karr; brothers: Gilbert, John, and Frank Sena; in-laws, Floripa and Guadalupe Pacheco; and brothers-in-law, Frank and George Pacheco; and son-in-law, Kert Durant.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eva P. Sena of the family home; four sons, Jose Isaac Sena and wife Jackie of Kissimmee, Fla., Robert Sena and wife Mary Ann of Gainsville, Texas, Joseph Sena and wife Lisa St. Pierre of Las Vegas, and Peter Sena of Kissimmee, Fla.; three daughters, Theresa Durant and companion Glen Trusty, Lupe Yara, and Rita Sena, all of Las Vegas; a sister, Adella Jaramillo of Lamar, Colo.; two brothers, Roger Sena and wife Mabel of Onava, N.M., and Junior Sena and wife Lou of Raton, N.M.; and 25 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and his companion, Tiny M and M Sena.
He was born Emplazado, N.M., on Dec. 23, 1931, and was a roofer and carpenter and had moved with his family from Las Vegas, Nev., in 1970. He received a certificate in culinary arts from Luna Community College and for a short time, was a hospital attendant at the New Mexico State Hospital.
Services were held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary at 7 p.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday. The interment followed in Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Tecolote, NM. Serving as casket bearers were Jose, Larry, George, Lupe, and Michael Pacheco, and Andres Vigil.
