Thelma Selby was the daughter of Elbert Henry Selby,son of John Carson Selby and Ida Ella Alexander and Rubye Olivia Hilderbrand, daughter of Ida Lillian Smithhart and Robert W. Hilderbrand.
She married Paul Adams,son of Moran Howell Adams and Maudie Lucille Fowler)and they have children.
Her obit reads in part: Thelma S. Adams, age 85 of Yazoo City, MS who passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013. Serviices be Wednesday, February 13,2012 at 2pm at First Baptist Church in Yazoo City. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Wyllodeene Herrin; and her grandson Matthew Stack.
Survivors include her husband Paul Adams Sr.;a son,of Yazoo City;two daughters of Tx and AZ;a sister of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was an open loving lady with a love for her family and antiques. Her collections flavored her home, where she graciously entertained her friends and family.
