Ruth was born in Strinestown, on October 30, 1914, a daughter of the late Clark and Alberta (Haines) Seip.
She was a 1931 graduate of Manchester High School and Millersville State Teachers College. She taught in a number of one room schools in Conewago Township and in first grade in the Northeastern School District, until she retired in 1977. Ruth was a member of Pleasureville U.M. Church, having served as a Sunday School Teacher, member of the choir, church historian, and was involved with senior fellowship. She was a member of the National Retired Teachers' Association.
Ruth leaves two sons, Royce A. Beaverson and his wife, Mary of York, and Robert G. Beaverson and his wife, Kathy of Big Rapids, Mich.; four grandchildren, Beth Beaverson of Boston, Mass., Kent Beaverson of Maple Shade, N.J., and Benjamin and Bryan Beaverson, both of Big Rapids, Mich.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in York.
