Born September 28, 1914 in Castle Dale, UT to Marion Carlos and Laura Hansen Seeley. Enjoyed the years of his youth in Bluebell, UT.

Married his eternal sweetheart Edna Naomi Jensen on June 21, 1941. Sealed as a family in the Salt Lake Temple on February 8, 1952. Together they raised their family in Sugar House, UT. Edna preceded him in death on April 4, 1979. Afton was blessed with thirty-one years of love and sweet companionship when he married Barbara Leona Rowland on June 6, 1980 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Afton served in the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) during the depression years. He was of veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy stationed in the Pacific at Okinawa.

Welder and diesel mechanic by trade, he operated Seeley Tractor and Welding until retiring at the age of eighty-five.

Barbara Leona Rowland Seeley, 85, passed away on June 5, 2011 in Salt Lake City, UT, reuniting with her loving husband after just a week apart.

Born October 23, 1925 in Salt Lake City, UT to Matthew Wilford Rowland and Louie Naomi Hodges. A longtime resident of South Salt Lake, she loved her home on Blair Street and the many memories that she made there. Barbara was devoted to the care of her parents until they passed away.

She was a loving wife to her sweetheart Afton and instantly fit into her new family when they married. Grandma Barbara was adored by the many grandchildren that became hers. She also loved her Rowland nieces and nephews with all her heart. "Touched you last."

Barbara graduated from Granite High School in 1944 and proudly helped plan a fifty-year reunion. She was dear to her elderly neighbors. She was industrious and fun to be around. She was always a good sport and eager for an adventure. She was a gardener and made grape jelly famous in her circle of friends and family.

She loved dolls and sharing that love with the little girls in her life. Barbara was a feisty and devoted supporter of causes she believed in. She was dedicated and a very hard worker. Barbara's beloved pets and Benji, Teddy and Suzy were part of her family.

As an active member of the LDS Church, she served in many organizations. She worked for the Water District and Utah Oil for many years. She enjoyed USO dances and supporting the war efforts. She was a bowler, loved travel, and scrap-booking memories.
