He was a son of David H & Rose Moyer Secord.

Dean K. "Coach" Secord, 50, of Honey Brook, was the beloved husband of Jennifer (O'Neill) for 10 years, and proud father of Zachary and Joshua, passed away on February 2, 2014.
Raised in the Douglassville area, he was a long-time member of St Paul's Lutheran Church-Douglassville and was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his father David H. He is survived by his cherished mother, Rose (Moyer), brother David, and sister Stephanie Ruffing (Thomas); loved son-in-law of Suzanne Coady and Tim and Kate O'Neill; brother-in-law to Amy (Eric) Peg, Missy (Ben), Jimmy and Brian. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dean will be fondly remembered by his friends, fellow coaches and student athletes and by his best friend and fellow soccer coach Scott Didyoung. Dean's passion was coaching soccer in Berks County and he was a member of the Gold Leaf Club for his 20 years of coaching service. This past season, with his Twin Valley Boys' Soccer Team he earned his 200th career win. He was an avid sports fan and was well-known by all for his quick wit and great sense of humor.
Visitation will be held at St Paul's Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Road, Douglassville, PA 19518 on Friday, February 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, February 8, from 10-11 a.m. with a memorial service to follow. Interment will be private and at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the "Sons of Dean Secord Fund" c/o National Penn Bank 83 West Main Street Elverson, PA 19520.
