Martha Sease Amick, of Chapin, widow of John Wesley Amick, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019, at age 92. She was born in Newberry County to Joseph Horace and Phebe Shealy Sease. Martha was survived by her children, Lucy Jackson, Darleen (Mike) Eargle, Johnny Amick, Patsy Paul, Linda (Zane) Stoudemire, Carroll Amick and Danny Amick; her grandchildren, Michael (Allison) Jackson, Wesley (Stephanie) Jackson, Mindy Amick (Craig Speer), Becky (Josh) Livingston, Anna Teseniar, Brittany Stoudemire, Patrick Amick and Tyler Stoudemire; her great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Haylee, Lyndsay, Carolyne, Hannah, Joshua, Bailey, Lacy, Macy, Skylar and Landen. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Hunt; brother, Horace Sease and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Amick was predeceased by a brother, Heyward Sease. Funeral services: 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Chapin, conducted by the Rev. Dave Tholstrup, with burial following, beside her husband in the church cemetery.
