VIOLA SEARS BEALMER
---Mrs. Viola Sears Bealmer, eighty-two, formerly of La Plata, died in St. Louis Sunday morning. She had been in failing health for the past few months.
---Born July 31, 1877 in La Plata, she was the daughter of James Ivision and Malinda J. (Thomas) Sears. She was a graduate of the La Plata High School and was the oldest living graduate of Lindenwood College in St. Charles. She was a member of the Class of 1897.
---She was married to John F. Bealmer on March 11, 1903 and to this marriage one son was born.
---Surviving are her son, John I. Bealmer of St. Louis; one brother, Herbert I. Sears of La Plata; one sister, Mary Sears who is a resident of a Kirksville nursing home; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
---She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
---Mrs. Bealmer had been a member of the Baptist Church here for more than fifty-years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star here for sixty-three years and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
---Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon in the La Plata Baptist Church with Rev. Claude Thompson officiating. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson Funeral Home.
