Nancy Claudine Haney, 68, of Schuyler, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at Trinity Mission of Charlottesville.
She was born September 17, 1941, in Charlottesville, the daughter of the late Claude Houston and Elizabeth Hinkel (Layne) Scruggs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Churchill Haney; a son, Tony Brent Haney; and her special friend and companion, Nathaniel Breeden.
Mrs. Haney loved making arts and crafts, especially ceramics and painting and enjoyed reading.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Breeden and her husband, Tommy, and Amy Patterson and her husband, David, all of Scottsville; a son, Jeffrey Haney of Earlysville; a sister, Ann Morris and her husband, Delmar, of Keswick; three grandsons, Stephen, Justin and Kevin Patterson; four granddaughters, Kim and April Breeden, Jessi and Jamie Haney; two great-granddaughters, McKenzie and Tranquility; and a niece, Debbie.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsville.
