Mrs. Lillian Scruggs Adams, age 93, of Corsicana passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Heritage Oaks West in Corsicana. She was born on September 11, 1918 in Dawson, Texas to parents, William T. & Pearl Scruggs.
She was a member of the Blooming Grove Church of Christ. She was employed as a seamstress with Haggar Slack Factory, and retired after 25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton E. Adams; daughter, Jackie Thomas; and sister, Janie Sawyer.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Adams and wife Anita and Gary Adams of Corsicana; son-in-law, Roy Thomas and wife Shelia of Corsicana; grandson, Matt Adams and wife Tirina of Yucca Valley, CA; granddaughters, Stephanie Powers of White Bluff, TN, Wendy Adams of Teague, Misty Adams of Teague, Kelly Thomas Ariniello and husband David of Los Angelas, CA, and Kacey Thomas of Corsicana; seven great grandchildren; brother, Lynn Scruggs and wife Jenelle of Waco, and bnumerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Solon Bailey officiating. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
