Obituary: Eunice Letsch Scroggs, 90, Springfield, MO, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 8, 1997, as a result of a fire in her home.
The daughter of Walter and Anna (Banks) Letsch, she was born Jan. 26, 1906. Mrs. Scroggs was a homemaker and a member of Christ Episcopal Church. In her earlier years, she was an accomplished artist and pianist. She was a charter member of Southwest Missouri Humane Society and had been active in Springfield Writer's Guild.
She is survived by her husband, Frank, to whom she was married April 12, 1936; a daughter and her husband, Suzanne and Walter Boyts, Willard; and four grandchildren, Lisa Boyts and her children, Dustin and Joshua, Melanie Boyts, Michele Boyts and Toby Boyts and his children, Whitney and Madelynn, all of Springfield.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, in Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kendall Waller officiating under direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Private family burial will be in Maple Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, in the funeral home. The casket will be closed at all times.
