MRS. SYLVESTER BIRCH
SOLOMON — The funeral for Mrs. Esther Mae Birch, 66, longtime Solomon cafe owner, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Solomon, Msgr. G. J. Landoll officiating.
Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary cemetery, Solomon.
Mrs. Birch died Saturday morning at her home at Salina.
She had moved to Salina 6 years ago, coming to the city from Solomon, where she operated a restaurant for many years.
She was born May 15, 1906, at Solomon. Mrs. Birch's first husband, Otto Fassbinder, died in 1964, and she married Sylvester Birch in 1972.
Surviving are the widower, of the home; 2 sons, Joseph P. Fassbinder, Salina, and Robert B. Fassbinder, Solomon; 2 brothers, Otis Scott, Loveland, Colo., and Paul G. Scott, Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Nina Abbott, Wichita; 2 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Carlson funeral home chapel, Solomon. Friends may call at the funeral home.
