Lee Owen Scott, 68, of rural LaFontaine, Indiana, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at 2:42pm at his home. He was born March 23, 1939 in Keystone, Indiana to Chester Morgan and Charlotte B. (Mason) Scott.
Married in Andrews, Indiana on August 7, 1979 to Mona Rae Hoover; Lee owned and operated Scott's Tree Trimming Service, retiring Feb 2001.
Lee enjoyed bowling, drawing, woodworking, guns and archery, and collecting coins. He also enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, playing croquet, and ping-pong.
He is survived by his wife, Mona Scott, his son, Bryan L. Scott, both of LaFontaine; two daughters, Pam S. Pritchett of Wabash and Amanda L. (Justin) Folk of Fort Wayne; two step daughters, Mendy S. (Jeremy) Neel of Noblesville, and Chris K. Gray of Warren; 11 grandchildren, Wesley A. Scott, Candace A. Pritchett, Chris B. Pritchett, Nicole M. Worthington, all of Wabash, Hunter W. Folk of Fort Wayne, Dylan M. Gray, Cale R. Gray, Cassidy R. Gray, all of Warren, Payton K. Neel, Madison R. Neel, and Marley L. Neel, all of Noblesville; three brothers, Jack (Sharon) Scott of Cuba, Kansas, Tom Scott of Corning, Iowa, and John Scott of Bellevue, Washington; four sisters, Darlene McIntire of Ligonier, Linda Woods of Sunset, Utah, Doris Yanello of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and Barb Sheehan of Omaha, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 3:00pm with Minister Rick Smalling officiating. Burial will follow at Mississinewa Cemetery, Somerset. Friends may call 1-3pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
