Lizton - Mrs. Amelia Scott Dies
After several years of feeble health, Mrs. Amelia (McGill) Scott died March 6, at her home west of town, at the age of 84 years and six months. She was married to John Scott in 1877. Seven children were born to them, five of whom survive. They are: Fay, Glen, Ora, Horace and Miss Iva Scott. The husband and father died February 12, 1920. The daughter was her mother's constant companion and tenderly cared for her in her declining years. Funeral services in charge of Rev. R. Richmond Blake, assisted by the pastor, Rev. D. E. Noland, were held in the Methodist church of which she was a member, Sunday afternoon, with burial in the K. of P. cemetery.
