Flora Ellis, well-known resident of 309 North Indiana Street, Danville, died Sunday evening in the Hendricks County Hospital. She had been in ill health for several months. A native of Lizton, she was born September 8, 1887, the daughter of the late John W. M. and Ella (Armstrong) Scott. In 1905, she was married to Lars Ellis who survives. She moved to the Danville community 18 years ago. She was a member of the Danville Methodist Church and the Forget-Me-Not Club.
Services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Weaver Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Clayton, pastor of the Danville Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.
Surviving with the husband are two daughters, Elsie Layman of Indianapolis and Lois Hardgrove of Santa Ana, Calif.; two sons, Milford Ellis of Orlando, Fla. and Edwin Ellis of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mary Pickel of Ben Davis and Rella Brown of New Ross; two brothers, Orville Scott of Indianapolis and Virgil Scott of Plainfield; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
