A life long resident of Hendricks County, she was born at Raintown, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel (Bud) Scott. She was married to Herman Griffith on Nov. 1, 1919, and the couple began housekeeping on the farm where they lived at the time of her death. She was an active member of the Pittsboro Methodist Church and its WSCS until her last illness.
Other survivors, besides the husband, include two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Blacketer and Mrs. Alma Dale of Lizton; a brother, Forest Scott, Pittsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
